    3rd Annual Juneteenth Parade & Freedom Celebration
    Proudly Sponsored by Councilwoman Tracie Arnold, Ward III

    “Celebrating freedom, unity, peace, and our journey forward.” Calling all community leaders, youth groups, marching bands, performers, floats, classic cars, city departments, businesses, churches, senior line dance groups, and families to join this special celebration. Families are encouraged to decorate a vehicle and parade in style.

    • Line-Up: 7:00 AM

    • Arrival Deadline: 8:00 AM

    • Parade: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

    • Line-Up Location: 1630 Phoenix Boulevard, Suite 200

    Chairwoman Dr. Alieka Anderson-Henry, Clayton County Board of Commissioners

    Parade End: Near Southwest Airlines / Atlanta Fire Rescue Training Facility

    Freedom Celebration Festival: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
    Tracey Wyatt Recreation Complex

    Performance Guidelines: “Moving performances only” | 30–45 second maximum at the Grandstand

Rules

1.

Parking in designated area only for drop offs!

2.

Distribution or throwing of merchandise or articles by any participant is allowed along the parade route. This includes candy, trinkets, and community friendly items only please.

3.

Each group or participant must have a leader at the parade site by 8:30 a.m. to assist your group.

4.

Please know your assigned entry # upon check in. (see attachment for entry)

5.

Performances must stay in motion — grandstand stops limited to 30-45 seconds. Grandstand Viewing Area: Midway Missionary Baptist Church, 2280 Godby Road, College Park, GA 30349

6.

Please remind supporters to gather at the announcement areas for awards.

7.

Music: Community oriented music. No profanity or suggestive attire allowed.

8.

Parade judging will begin promptly upon group arrival. Please prepare for moving performance.
